STAR PARTY

We will have a star party Saturday night after the banquet. Starizona will bring some of their large telescopes. Local amateurs are encouraged to bring theirs also. Each 'scope will be trained on, and tracking different objects. You simply wander from scope to scope and listen to the operator describe what you're seeing.

The star party was very popular in 2011, with a good crowd until well after midnight. The dark skies made for excellent viewing.

There will be a waxing gibbous moon, which will set behind the mountains about 2:30 AM, (Full Moon Monday) so we should have good lunar observing as well as good viewing of Mars and Saturn.
